About The Abstra Designs
MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Prutisha—designer, print obsessive, and founder of The Abstra Designs.
I hold a BFA from Rachana Sansad College of Applied Arts & began my career at a design studio where I learned to think beyond aesthetics—to build brand stories, solve creative challenges, and work across diverse design disciplines, from branding and wedding invitations to wallpaper and cutlery design. Those years gave me the confidence to lead projects with equal parts creativity and precision.
OUR STORY
What started as a weekend passion project gradually grew into something much bigger. During the pandemic, as I transitioned from a full-time role to part-time and eventually took the leap into entrepreneurship, that small side project quietly became my life's work.
Growing up in a business family rooted in offset printing, I was surrounded by paper, ink, and production from an early age. Meghart Colour Crafters, our family's 50-year-old printing press, shaped my understanding of craftsmanship long before I realised it would become my profession. Design and print have always been in my DNA, and starting The Abstra Designs felt like the natural intersection of both worlds.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
I never wanted to create stationery that was simply beautiful. I wanted to design pieces that felt like keepsakes—elegant yet timeless, rooted in tradition yet thoughtfully contemporary. Pieces that didn't just announce a celebration, but captured its emotion through thoughtful storytelling, intentional details, and exceptional craftsmanship.
That vision became The Abstra Designs.
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Today, we are a boutique design and print studio based in Mumbai, specialising in bespoke wedding invitations, personalised stationery, event branding, and luxury print experiences. Every project is designed from the ground up, tailored to reflect the individuality of the people and stories behind it.
From the first sketch to the final print, we believe the smallest details leave the biggest impression. Because every celebration deserves more than stationery—it deserves something worth keeping.
